Getting your child involved in gardening can be fun. From creating beautiful hanging baskets to planting colourful bedding plants, gardening can become a great hobby for child and parent to do together.
There are some really lovely gardening sets for you to buy your child to encourage the hobby too. You can buy little trowels, buckets and flower labels. Having little accessories for your child to use can increase their interest in it.
One of my favourite ideas to get my kids involved is planting sunflowers. When I was younger my brother and I used to plant one each and see which one would grow the tallest!

Also, creating a little vegetable patch can mean you can enjoy some lovely home-grown vegetables and also encourage your child to look after them as they grow.
With the summer coming, it is the right time to get them involved and interesting in nature and the outdoors. It will hopefully then draw them away from their computer games!
